Three Mausoleums of Shengling: Also from the Qing Dynasty, the Three Mausoleums are as follows: the Yongling Mausoleum, built in 1598; the Zuling mausoleum, built in 1634; and the Fuling Mausoleum, built between the years 1629 and 1651. Former emperors, as well as their wives, uncles, fathers, grandfathers, and even great-grandfathers are buried in these tombs.

Shenyang Botanical Garden: In the year 2006, the International Horticultural Exposition was held here. This event was the largest in the history of the Expo. Marshal Zhang’s Mansion: Originally constructed in 1914, this mansion previously belonged to Zhuang Zuolin and his son. Since 2002 it has served its purpose as a museum. Several buildings, a West Courtyard, a Middle Courtyard and an East Courtyard comprise the architectural complex on 3.6 square acres. The location of Marshal Zhang’s Mansion makes for a picturesque backdrop for photographs.

Qipanshan Scenic Area: Don’t put the camera away just yet. The most expansive scenic area in Shenyang is right here. The four seasons in this wooded area bring snow in winter, fresh greenery in the spring. maple hues in the autumn, vibrant oranges in summer. From December to February each year, the Shenyang International Ice and Snow Festival is held here. Activities including Alpine skiing and snow sculpting are favorites among visitors.

Liaobin Pagoda: Not your average Pagoda, Liabin is a historical reminder of an ancient city dating back to 1000 years ago. It has 13 stories, an octagonal tower, and stands 41.7 m tall. A statue of Buddha adorns a shrine on the tower’s east side. The tower itself measures 10 m in height.

Shenyang Magic Slope: This attraction’s claim to fame is that of the unexpected. Gravity dictates that all things fall from above to below, but on this magic slope, that is not so.
