The Bund

The idea for the garden was first mooted in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty, and the Yuyuan Garden is today a picturesque sight modeled after the Suzhou style. At the heart of the Yuyuan Garden is an ancient stone named the Yu Linglong, or the Jade Exquisite.

City God Temple: The Cheng Huang Miao, or the City God Temple, was built before the 15th century as a dedication to three city gods. Located within the Old City of Shanghai, the City God Temple is adjacent to the Yuyuan Garden. Popular among tourists and locals alike, the two attractions are linked in a large pedestrian zone reviving the commercial district of yesteryear.

Shanghai World Financial Center: Towering over 1,600 feet is the Shanghai World Financial Center, currently the third tallest building in the world. Located in the Pudong district forming part of the magnificent Lujiazui skyline, the Shanghai World Financial Center was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and was completed in 2008. An observation deck in the building stands 1,555 feet above the ground, and the towering skyscraper comprises a total of 101 floors.
