The most striking feature of Asam Church is the altar which sits on a glass shrine with a wax figure of St. John and is enclosed by four twisted columns.

Cuvillies Theater: The theater was built in 1755 and is located on the east side of Residenz, Munich. It is considered as the finest example of Rococo theater countrywide. The four-tier boxes as well as the carved woodwork were stored during the Second World War and this allowed their reconstruction in 1958. The complex is made of three sections – Alte Residenz, Konigsbau and Festsaalbau. Construction of the sections was completed at different times with Court Church being the last to be constructed in 1848. The Residenz is now home to several museums and monuments.
