This year, make Mother’s Day memorable by whisking her away on a private charter jet to destinations unknown.

History of Mother’s Day

The history of Mother’s Day, as it is celebrated in the U.S., dates back to 1908 when Anna Jarvis memorialized her mother. The ceremony, which was the culmination of her three year campaign to make Mother’s Day a recognized holiday in the U.S. The ceremony was held at St. Andrew’s Methodist Church of Grafton, WV.

Jarvis sought to honor mothers for the way they do more for their children than anyone else in the world will ever do for them. The 1908 Congress rejected the proposal to make it an official U.S. holiday, but by 1911 all states were observing the holiday on local levels. It was not until 1914 that Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation declaring the second Sunday in May as a national day set aside for honoring mothers.

The second Sunday in May is set aside to celebrate mothers.

If you really want to make her year, you could consider a year of following all the worldwide traditions celebrating mothers. Many take place in March and May, though there are quite a few countries that celebrate in different months as well.

Celebrating Mom with a Luxurious Private Jet Charter

Think of all the times your mom has stayed up late sewing costumes together or helping with science projects due the next day. Or how about the times she got up extremely early in the morning to drive you to the hockey rink or a soccer game four hours away.

Moms do a lot for their children. They do this out of love and expecting nothing in return for their efforts. That doesn’t mean you don’t have anything to offer. One truly special day that’s all about her can build a memory together that the two of you will cherish long after the day has ended.

Scheduling a private charter jet allows you to make the trip in total privacy and with complete comfort. You can bring along your siblings, if you would like, or make it a family day with her grandchildren. You know your mom best. Make it a day she’ll love.

It is much more intimate and a better bonding experience than flying commercial airlines with all the noise, crowds, and people listening in on conversations. One of the biggest benefits of private jet travel is that you get to choose who goes along.
